The first step is to understand your priorities, your child’s preferences and what participation looks like in everyday life. A qualified professional decides what assessment is appropriate and discusses the findings with you.
Goals are agreed individually. These are examples for discussion, not promised outcomes.
Share what matters to your family, what your child enjoys, and which approaches feel comfortable. Communication may include speech, AAC, gestures or other preferences. Harmless self-regulation and a child’s autonomy are respected.
Which format suits your child is agreed with the therapist after assessment. Not every goal works well online, and home visits depend on the area.
